The photos you see are of the neck you receive. This natural brown neck has a slight, easily missed barred appearance in the feathers that will add to the bugginess of flies tied with it. Feathers in the mid-top of the neck are size 16 and 18, and were long enough for hackling hook sizes with 3 to 6 turns of hackle. Feather density on the Ewing capes is moderate, and these will easily tie 500 or more flies. Most feathers will fall in the 12 to 16 range, with a few larger and a few smaller. Size 22 and smaller feathers at the top of the neck are short, and might be difficult for many tiers to work with, but they are usable.
