Hook & Hackle Pliers

One of our best selling hackle tools--NOW IN METAL. Most EZ pliers are injection molded plastic. These are metal. I carry one on a zinger (retractor) for knot tying and holding the lead fly as I tie on the dropper. These are useful for:

• Holding flies (by the hook) while photographing them
• Holding and wrapping hackle (the ring rotates easily around your finger as you wrap the hackle)
• Displaying flies on your desk or fly tying bench
• Holding comparison or model flies to compare as you tie
• Holding hooks to check measurements as you tie.
• With a zinger, holding the lead fly while you tie the dropper to the bend. A little bit of tension on the fly makes all the difference.
