Fly Tying 1" Spool Hands For Standard Thread Spools 5 Pack

These things go in the category of "stuff I wish I'd thought of." If you've ever set down a spool of copper wire, lead wire or tinsel only to have it turn into a tangled nest that you spent several minutes untangling, you need these. 

What are "spool hands"? They're really simple. They have an elastic band sized just right for a standard 1" spool (we have larger sizes...I'll get to listing them later). the elastic band fits around the spool, and the thread, wire, etc, come out an opening. It's lined with hard plastic and has an opening size of about 3/16", so there's plenty of room for the material to come off the spool. 

Once you have spool hands on your spool, you can cut off the material and set the spool down...no more trying to set the wire, etc in the capture slot to the edge of the spool. 

Believe me, these little gems will save you hours!

Put these on the list of things that "never made it to the shop." I keep a pack in my tying bench for when I pull out a new spool. You'll want several for your tying bench.
