Marc Petitjean Magnum Magic Tool Clip Set

This set is ideal for preparation of CDC and soft hackle. The Magic tool is designed to help you prepare materials for use in split-thread dubbing or a dubbing loop.

I'll try to describe the Magic Tool. The magic tools have two different parts: a "table" and a "clip." Material is pushed down into the table a small distance, which stands the top of the material straight out of the top. You might, for example, stroke the barbs of a CDC feather to 90 degrees, then force the stem of the feather into the table. This stands the ends of the barbs on both sides of the feather straight up. You then use the clip to hold the upright barbs and snip off the stem. The material is now held in the clip perfectly algned for insertion into a dubbing loop.

Dowels are used to prepare long material like spooled flashabou or crystal flash. Wrap the long material around the dowel, and insert a piece of wire to push the materials down into the table. Place the dowel on top of the table, then clip the material to make even, separate segments. Finally, push the material down into the table and clip it.
