This high-strength GSP fly-tying thread helps you secure materials with confidence on larger patterns. Its 100-denier, 6/0 size is suited to flies from about hook size #10 through #2/0.
The thread can be untwisted to lie flat, helping keep wraps smooth and reduce bulk. Use it for streamers, predator and saltwater flies, deer-hair work, and other patterns where a strong tying thread is useful.
Features
100-denier, 6/0 thread – A substantial tying thread for larger flies and durable material tie-ins.
Gel-spun polyethylene – GSP construction provides a listed breaking strain of 8.4 lb (3,800 g).
Flat-laying wraps – Untwist the thread as needed to create a flatter profile and help limit thread buildup.
Yellow color – Adds a visible thread accent to fly bodies and heads.
50 m spool – Supplies thread for tying multiple flies.
Ceramic bobbin recommended – A ceramic tube bobbin holder is recommended for use with GSP thread.
