If you've tried several hackle pliers and want one that works, this is it. A hard plastic handle supports the brass spring-loaded material clip. Depressing the round collar exposes a hook-shaped clip which securely holds the hackle without breaking it. It's also heavy enough to keep the hackle from unwinding or slipping if you need to let go of the plier while you change your grip.
