Like you and many fly tyers, we love tying with Peccary. Transparent Peccary Quills is our synthetic alternative which provides the perfect Peccary quill every time. Natural Peccary can be difficult to find and the quality is sometimes not acceptable. Natural Peccary is also often brittle and hard to use; natural quills often need to be soaked before use. That is no longer an issue! Semperfli Transparent Peccary Quills Synthetic are synthetic, perfect every time, and ready to use out of the package! We offer two versions: True and Transparent in 2 different sizes each. Peccary are available in 0.4mm for small (#12 and below) and 1mm, perfect down to size #14.

For the transparent peccary quill anything tied below the Quill shows through, from threads to tinsels, to a fluorescent thread; these base materials will shine through the transparent peccary beautifully.

Quills are packaged 25 per pack. Each quill is 100mm in length meaning you can get 2 flies per quill depending on your fly size.
